Natural Factors Apple Pectin is derived from organic apples, free of contaminants. Pectin, present in nearly all plants, provides cement-like strength to cell walls. Pectin is a complex polysaccharide, consisting of a number of simple sugars and sugar-acids. In food processing, pectin is added to foods to help them gel, thicken and blend properly and to prevent ingredients from separating.

Pectin is classified as a fiber because it is not hydrolyzed by human pancreatic enzymes. Recent research would suggest that dietary fiber is important in promoting healthy intestinal cells because of its ability to promote intestinal epithelial cell proliferation.

Suggested Usage:
1 capsule per day at mealtime or as directed by a health practitioner. Keep out of reach of children.
